Alberto De Armas It is a caricaturist with a 15 year path, his first character was named "Willis" and it was weekly posted at "La Perla" newspaper from Puerto Rico's south area, with this childlike character he was expressing his insight youth thoughts through a child's eyes which he decided to give life due to his mother's special admiration to that particular caricature. While the cartoon of Willis circulated at the paper De Armas started to draw tourists at "Old San Juan", mean while he was ending his graphic arts career; preparation that was a channel for his art to become more professional and that help his drawing to become more commercial and to his path as a freelance artist. His imagination and creativity was a description of his own personality, which impulses him to become a humorist and a standup comedian while the artistic media got to know him to interpret theater and television characters becoming an actor and a screenwriter of humorist segments for the Hispanic radio and television. This experience and knowledge in the field has help together with his unique humor style for him to perform for the Central Florida radio, as host of a popular morning show, were he performs characters of its creation beside of the inspiration they provide him to continue developing new caricatures that are coming to live in the United States press, where he presented for the first time; "Tony Truco" a character of its own that uses the breaking news as the ground of his topics on "EI Nuevo Dia" newspaper and on the family section of "La Prensa" from Orlando & Tampa, Florida were this characters have captivated public of all ages including the re-creation of his original caricature; "Willis" joint with others like "Coquito" & "Cotorrin" that represents the general humor & "Wendy" that targets a more mature public and its field with topics from the everyday humor, were it covers marriage in our society after the empty-nest; when kids are starting their own new life. Alberto De Armas still performs as a graphic artist, radio announcer, humorist, scriptwriter and caricaturist looking up to create the first truly Hispanic cartoon series in the United States.
